EN: The Wat Pakam Nightly Food Court

Pai Explorer

Not exactly a restaurant but that stretch of Walking Street that runs alongside the outer wall of Wat Pakam is now fully entrenched as the Night Market food court. You won’t find anything there during the day because its position on the sunny side of the street makes it too hot to do anything. Come early evening though and it transforms itself into a bustling one stop center for inexpensive Thai and foreign food.

The main photograph in this article is of Wan who does killer fish and chips, chips cheese and gravy, fruit shakes as well as bruchettes, chicken wings and now Spicy Thai Salad, adding “Yum” to the menu. If you’re in town you won’t miss this easy to find ramshackle assemblement of street cart vendors plying their trade in Walking Street.
