EN: Transplanting the Paddy’s Fields

In Mae Hee all the small farmers are starting to harvest the rice that they use to transplant their larger fields with.

Basically the farmers grow small dense paddy’s of rice.

When the rice reaches transplanting age, it is harvested & bundled together.

The larger fields have already been ploughed and flooded 3 or 4 days before the planned transplant.

The dense rice stalks are cut quickly & then placed into the well soaked larger fields on the same day.
