Mae Hong Son and Khun Yuam district welcome you to view expansive fields of bright yellow wild sunflowers from early November to late December.

When winter comes, Tung Bua Tong (literally translate as a field of wild sunflower) of Doi Mae U-kor in Mae Hong Son are fully bloomed and annually serve to attract many tourists. Visitors to Doi Mae U-kor will enjoy the pleasant sight of hills and valleys covered with a yellow and orange-capped blanket.

The fields of wild sunflowers cover approximately 1,000 acres and will bloom during November and into December, boasting to be the largest flower field in Thailand. Visitors are encouraged to walk up the long cement stair for a scenic 360-degree view, over-looking the entire field.

Located about 5 hours from Chiang Mai, the incredible naturally spectacular attraction draws a large number of visitors each year due to its scenic display and the welcome cool winter weather. Campsites and cottages are available for those who wish to spend a night at Tung Bua Tong National Park.
